  3. I’m furious! You guys are what is wrong with the SBC! How could you! This is terrible!!!! I’ve never been so offended in all my life! It’s the end of the world as we know it!!!

There. Does that remind you of old times? You kind of put an SBC post up so I thought I’d go in attack mode just to simulate what you used to go through on a regular basis way back when. But, with my recent track record in reengaging on SBC issues, I probably should just be quiet.

Good review from both you and Ben. I felt like I got a good take on the tenor and style, and substance of the book, which is what a review is supposed to be. You’re saying that it is more of a personal memoir than it is a history of the events?

  4. Good review Marty. I had only one comment on mine and it was Wade! :)

  5. I liked the “unedited” version given me by Ben before it was published by ABP. Any chances that one will ever see the light of day?

  6. CB-
    It’s doubtful.

  7. CB:

For the sake of clarity, you “heard” one of the unedited versions. There were 5 versions before it went to edit, after which there were two more versions.

Love ya, but in the sake of transparency and truth ya know ;)

  8. Ben,

Like I said; The unedited version given me by you before the one published by ABP, no matter which one it was is better than the one published.

It was far more potent and by far more revealing of the truth we all know and remember.

There is no fire, so stop blowing smoke.

  10. Marty,

I am not blowing smoke or anything else. I never said there was a fire. I simply stated an opinion. It was not based on “smoke.” We both know that. Marty, I trust you are not making an effort to make me a liar here. My opinion is as valid as is yours or Ben’s.

  11. Alan-
It could be considered both, but as a history it would not be considered complete.

    CB-
Sigh. I’m not “making an effort to make” you a liar here or anywhere else.

The way that you are writing about “the truth” makes it seem like there were things swept under the rug in the review process that should be brought to light. This is simply not the case. That’s what I mean when I say there is no fire. If Ben or I thought there was any value to a different review, I would already have posted it. We are both content with what is already online, because it is the truth.
